A one day course which is a great introduction to First Aid and requires no previous experience. The basic first aid course is designed to introduce a systematic way of first aid for managing casualties. The course covers a range of topics mixed with scenarios to practice your skills.

The course includes the following topics

Monitoring and recording vital signs
Accident Procedure - What to do in the event of an incident
Choking, anaphylaxis, asthma, heart attack and angina
CPR (inclduing children and drowning)
Dealing with major bleeds and shock

The basic course is for anyone who would like to improve their knowledge and skills and would like hand on practical training so that they can be confident should they ever have to deal with an incident.
